Stephen Woolley (10 December 1724–c. 22 July 1776) was a physician and a member of the Young Junto, elected c. 1758. Born in Philadelphia, his father was a master carpenter who oversaw the construction of the Pennsylvania State House and a chapel that was used by the preacher George Whitefield and later housed the Academy and College of Philadelphia. The younger Woolley was apprenticed to a merchant before studying medicine and setting up a practice. He was a donor to the Pennsylvania Hospital and an active attendee at the meetings of the Young Junto. He was the nephew of original APS member William Parsons. (PI)
