Election date: 1768 (Elected to the American Society when it absorbed the membership of the Medical Society.)James Dick (?–1770) was a physician and a member of the American Philosophical Society via the absorption of the Medical Society by the American Society in 1768. Likely an acquaintance of APS Member Dr. John Morgan, Dick was a practicing physician and corresponding member who lived in Charleston, South Carolina. Little is known about him. Beyond doctoring, his practice comprised a druggist shop for some time in the late 1760s; he sold it and settled in St. Paul’s Parish, where he died in 1770. (PI)
